At GenPrivacy, we take the privacy of our clients and website visitors seriously—it's at the heart of what we do. While we don’t collect a lot of personal information, when we do, we treat it with the utmost care and respect. We want you to feel in control of the information we gather, so here’s a quick overview of our privacy practices.

We only collect the personal information we need

We gather personal information in specific ways, and only what’s necessary to provide our services:

• If you reach out through our website, we collect your name, email address, and some other identifying details.

• Browsing our website? We don’t collect identifiable information then. We use Google Analytics, which uses first-party cookies to generate reports on who visits our website and which bits you look at. This information isn’t identifiable though, and we can’t tell who you are. You can find out more about how Google Analytics works here and here (including how to block it).

• If you use our services, most information we collect is related to your agency rather than you personally. In some cases, like investigating a privacy breach, we may collect personal info about the agency’s clients or employees, but only with the agency’s consent.

We keep your information safe and secure

Your personal information is stored securely by GenPrivacy, using our trusted cloud-based data storage provider Google Workspace. We take reasonable steps to ensure it's protected, including password-protected devices and limited access to files.

We use and disclose personal information solely to provide services

Trust is key for us. We only use the information we collect to provide the services you seek or to communicate with you. We won’t share your personal information unless we have your consent or are required to by law.

You can request a copy of your information anytime

If you want to know what personal information we hold about you, just ask! You can also request corrections if you believe any information is inaccurate. Email us at amelia@genprivacy.co.nz, and we’ll get back to you within 20 working days.
